So, What's the Screenplay He's Working On?
"It's about a guy who is unable to fit into the world, and he creates this whole imaginary world for himself. Then he falls in love with this girl on the outside world. I was thinking the guy would be older--maybe in his 30s. It's based on my own feelings--not being able to fit in."

"I was supposed to go out with this girl, but the plans got mixed up because I was working late. I went to her house, and I had a flower for her. She was asleep, but I really wanted to see her. She lived in this third-story apartment. So, I figured I'd be like Romeo, and I climbed to her balcony and gave her a rose. She was very shocked. After that, it was over."

Recalling his teen years
"I played football for about half a year but couldn't take it. I lost all my jock friends. It was rough in high school. I was very awkward with girls. There was this rumor that... my name in high school was Teddy, and [the rumor was that] Teddy was gay. In my high school no kids were coming out and there was a huge stigma. There was a lot of isolation. To deal with that I painted a lot. It was hard."
